AVEDAS joins CASRAI and becomes member as Implementation Associate
The Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI) is a non-profit standards development organization, which serves to ensure seamless interoperability of research information. CASRAI collectively develops and maintains a common data dictionary and advances best practices for data exchange and reuse between research teams, institutions, and funding agencies throughout the entire life-cycle of research activity.
AVEDAS is an enthusiastic supporter of innovation and open standards and as a provider of research management systems the company is excited to formally join CASRAI as an implementation associate. This partnership ensures that AVEDAS is well positioned to support the market’s desire for meaningful common standards and interoperability. Jan C. Maier, CEO at AVEDAS underlines the importance of the collaboration with CASRAI: “The value of research is only enhanced through the ability to disseminate findings across communities. In order to do so in a manner that is effective and efficient, technology must act as an enabler and not a barrier. To this end we not only intend to facilitate the implementation of CASRAI amongst our clients, but hope to leverage our international presence to contribute to an open but secure network of researchers, research funders and research institutions.”
"With our international mandate to develop a common global approach toresearch interoperability, CASRAI are very proud to announce that AVEDAS officially joins on the highest level of membership," says David Baker, CASRAI Executive Director. “This is a natural step forward for AVEDAS efforts to further contribute to the data and process standardization. AVEDAS will expand the available tools to practically bring CASRAI standards to life, and their software product CONVERIS Research Information System will be leading CASRAI standards implementations for the benefit of the Research Community.”
