    We are pleased to announce that eVision will join CASRAI as an Implementation Associate at the Leader level.

    York University has joined the Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI), a not-for-profit standards development organization specializing in standardizing research data.

    “York University is pleased to partner with CASRAI and support its initiatives to streamline the research administration process,” said Robert Haché, York’s vice-president research & innovation. “The continued development of these standards will help our researchers save time and improve efficiency during the funding application process.”

    EuroCRIS is mandated by the European Commission to maintain, develop and promote CERIF (Common European Research Information Format) a European Union Recommendation to member states. A not-for-profit association since 2002 – although existing as an unofficial association since 1991 – euroCRIS has members in almost all continents and has encouraged CERIF to be a national standard in 8 countries and utilised in many organisations in more than 30 countries. CERIF is a data model which can be implemented as a CRIS (Current Research Information System) or used for system interoperation.

    In April, 2009 the federal Centres of Excellence for Commercialization and Research (CECR) program funded Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) to establish the new Ocean Networks Canada Centre for Enterprise and Engagement (ONCCEE) as Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Ocean Observing Systems. ONCCEE’s mission is to position Canada as an international leader in ocean observing system science and technology by maximizing the associated socio-economic benefits through commercialization and outreach programs.
