Research Dataset

A set of data used for research purposes, described with its storage, access, preservation, licensing, and sharing arrangements.

A Research Dataset is a set of data used for research purposes, whether or not it was created by the research project that uses it.

The object records how the dataset is stored, secured, and accessed; its embargo and preservation periods; its licensing and intellectual property ownership; and the destruction and sharing arrangements that apply to it, supporting machine-actionable data management planning.
