CCDM eligibility, exam format, and renewal

- ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals) administers CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator), CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate), and CPI (Certified Principal Investigator) — separate credentials for separate site- and monitoring-facing roles. The CCRC exam does test a “Data Management and Informatics” domain, but as one of six broad competency areas covering the whole scope of coordinator work, not as a dedicated data management credential.

Clinical research coordinators, CRAs, and site staff whose responsibilities span protocol adherence, monitoring, and participant safety alongside data entry are more typically evaluated against ACRP or SOCRA credentials, where data management is one competency among several rather than the whole job.
