Conference Abstract

A short text stating the issue addressed in a proposed conference paper, used to secure its acceptance and published with it.

A conference abstract is a text of specified length that states the issue to be addressed in a proposed conference paper. It is submitted to a conference’s organizing or program committee and serves as the basis on which the paper is accepted for presentation.

Once the paper is accepted, the abstract is typically published alongside it in the conference proceedings, making the abstract a discrete, citable research output.
