A dissertation is the treatise submitted by a candidate in fulfillment of a doctoral degree, presenting original research and the candidate’s own point of view.
The object records descriptive details of that treatise, including its title, supervisor, degree type, institution, and completion date, along with identifiers such as a PubMed ID or URL where the work is available. It supports classification of the underlying research within the CASRAI-derived structured object model.
