An encyclopedia entry records an authored contribution to a reference work or compendium covering a particular domain, or knowledge in general.

The object captures the entry and encyclopedia titles, edition and volume, page range, authoring role, and the first listed author or editor along with any co-authors or co-editors. It also records publication details such as location, status, publisher, and URL, and a research classification within the CASRAI-derived structured object model.
