Video only

We are a telehealth-only service: we have no office or clinic in this area or anywhere else in Puerto Rico. If you need to be seen in person, this guide shows where to go.

Is this an emergency?

This is not an emergency service. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room if you have:

  • Chest pain, shortness of breath or stroke signs (facial droop, arm weakness, slurred speech)
  • An older adult who is confused, has a high fever or cannot get up
  • Dengue with severe belly pain, nonstop vomiting or bleeding
  • A baby under 3 months with a fever

Which hospitals and pharmacies serve the area, and why

Barceloneta, Florida, Ciales and Morovis have no hospital of their own. In an emergency, people here head down to Route 2: to Manatí, which has two hospitals with emergency services in federal hospital data (CMS), and to Vega Baja. From Florida, the Utuado hospital is about 12 miles away in a straight line.

Pharmacies follow the same pattern. Barceloneta and Morovis have a Walgreens, but neither counter is open overnight. Puerto Rico's only 24-hour pharmacy counters are five Walgreens, in Guaynabo, Bayamón, Caguas, Cayey and Ponce; the nearest to this area is Bayamón. For anything that is not an emergency, a video visit saves you that trip.
